Ryves Youth Center is a safe place for children to feel accepted, motivated and realize their full potential through programs that promote physical, educational and social development for children ages 3-17. The center operates Monday through Friday afternoon offering supervised activities, tutoring, mentoring, counseling and dinner for every child in attendance.
In FY21, 201 children participated in after-school activities at Ryves, 30 attended the no-cost, full-day preschool and ten active matches participated in our TIME for Me Mentoring Program.

Family Night at Ryves Youth Center is a collaboration between community partners who all share a mutual goal to help our neighbors. Family Night takes place every third Wednesday of the month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Ryves Youth Center. A new theme is featured every month that focuses on health and wellness, financial literacy, education, or homelessness. Each event includes a free hot meal provided by Chef Naomi Smith at the Kids Cafe and a guest speaker. The evening also includes games and activities for youth and adults. All families are encouraged to join in the Family Night fun. Activities begin at 4:30 pm in the lower level of Ryves Youth Center located at 1356 Locust Street.
You can help make a difference in the Wabash Valley by joining the center's Sponsor a Child program. For less than $2 per day, the children attending Ryves Youth Center receive educational assistance through after-school tutoring, meals served every weekday to improve their health and ability to learn, and emotional support through daily interaction with positive adult role models and counselors.
No membership fee or program fee is charged to the youth or their families. On average, it costs $720 to provide programming and services at Ryves Youth Center for each child. To donate, click the button below and make sure to designate your gift to Ryves Youth Center.
Now more than ever, we’re so grateful for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for Catholic Charities through the years.
Consider becoming a recurring donor - it is the safest, simplest, and most effective way to continually provide for the needs in our community.
