Meet our Staff
As a member of Feeding America, the largest domestic emergency food bank network, Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank collects, warehouses, and distributes nearly 4 million pounds of food annually to more than 90 soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, youth centers, and other charitable agencies in 7 counties in west central Indiana.
Additionally, Catholic Charities also operates a Soup Kitchen – serving the hungry in our community – throughout the week. Community members in need can receive a full meal at Ryves Youth Center Monday - Friday or a sack lunch on Saturday and Sunday at Bethany House.
Through our Household Exchange and Christmas Store, Catholic Charities provides necessary hygiene, clothing and household items to families in need. Whether they have experienced a flood, house fire, loss of income or need a little extra help providing Christmas for their families, we ensure individuals and families have the necessities they need.
Through Bethany House Emergency Shelter, Catholic Charities provides temporary housing, food, clothing and casemanagement for families, sinigle women and married couples seeking safe housing.
Through Ryves Youth Center at Etling Hall, Catholic Charities strives to meet the emotional, physicial and spiritual needs of children in the community. Ryves Youth Center provides a safe place for youth to learn, grown and develop by offering mentoring, preschool, nutritious snacks and meals, homework help, recreational activities and so much more.
